Pool Day at the Biltmore

Riley and Siena spent the afternoon with their Dads at the Biltmore last week. Cody loves to give Riley mohawks when her hair is wet...as you will see, her hair lends well to this hairstyle at the moment. Riley also took a long nap on Cody...made for great pictures! Siena is as cute as a button...don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks!

Newport Beach Vacation

We spent last week at Newport Beach...wonderful vacation! This was Riley's first time on a plane...she was great on both flights. During the first flight she was really sqwirmy and loved to pull the man's hair in front of us (he didn't like it so much). On the way home Riley was much more content sitting in out lap, playing with toys and looking out the window.

Riley loved the ocean and sand...she wasn't sure about the texture of the sand at first but by the end of the trip she was eating it. While the water was cold enough for surfers to wear wetsuits, Riley didn't mind getting soaked. She crawled all around and had a blast.

We felt like Riley learned so many new things on this trip. While she had been starting some of these things before, they were perfected during this vacation. Saying "ball" when she sees a ball, saying "What's that?" when she points at something, waving and saying "bye" when someone leave, making crazy noises with her mouth and copying everything that we do. She knows what she wants and gets very mad when she can't have it...we are trying to teach her patience and discipline but it will still be a while until she understands what we are trying to teach her. She was so much fun on this vacation!
